ASAKE INC/ASAKE EMPOWERMENT FOUNDATION

HELP THEM LIVE AND THRIVE

“Help them live and thrive” is a program that seeks to improve the
health and safety of school children living in underserved
communities.

It’s a known fact that ill health is one of many contributing factors to
less than optimum learning. A child with inadequate access to
prevention and(or) treatment of disease will not perform well in
school.

This program is to help keep children in school by ensuring they have
access to good healthcare services as compared with their
counterpart.

THE SHACKLE OF POVERTY

As it is a common saying that “health is wealth” so is it true for
everyone including children in the vulnerable group.

Children living in poverty do not have access to good healthcare
services and many of their families live in ignorance of good healthy
practices.

These make them easily susceptible to diseases which may stunt
their growth and development, debar learning or cut their lives short.

BREAKING THE SHACKLE

  • Our goal is to create for this vulnerable group;
  • Events targeted at prevention such as speech, hearing and vision screening to school children in underserved communities
  • Events on sensitization of parents and children on best healthy practices to prevent diseases
  • accessibility to adequate healthcare services to treat and cure diseases
  • adequate nutrition to foster proper growth and development.

Founder's Quote

Slide 1

"Kids going to school bare-feet because their parents could not afford to buy them shoes. Widows struggling every day to feed their children. Minors hawking on both residential and main streets. Families living on less than a dollar every day.
All these combined, ignited the fire and brought about the birth of Asake Inc. Foundation to make a difference and give hope to the vulnerable."

Slide 2

"Children are our future, and the only way for the world to evolve, as I have been shown it should be, is for each generation to be more loving and compassionate than the one before. This is only possible if we support the children around us, and protect and encourage them so they don’t need to lock their love away."

Lorna Byrne

"Children are not things to be molded, but are people to be unfolded."

"The final stage of wisdom is becoming a kid again."

"The essence of our effort to see that every child has a chance must be to assure each an equal opportunity, not to become equal, but to become different – to realize whatever unique potential of body, mind and spirit he or she possesses."

John Fisher

"If we are to teach real peace in this world, and if we are to carry on a real war against war, we shall have to begin with the children."
